Press Release provided by CACC Associate Commissioner for Strategic Communications Doug DeBiase

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Presidents Council announced on Monday its plans for team activities and intercollegiate competition during the fall and spring semesters for the 2020-21 season. Teams will be allowed to take part in team activities on their respective campuses during the fall semester, while fall championship sports will be moved to the winter and spring seasons, with intercollegiate competition slated to begin in January.

Men's basketball, women's basketball and women's volleyball will begin their 2021 seasons in January, as all three sports will take part in a full conference schedule. The regular season will conclude in late February, with a CACC Championship tournament to be contested in early March in all three sports. The conference championship in both basketballs will be completed in accordance with the timeline for the NCAA Division II Regional and National Tournaments.

Men's and women's soccer will move to the spring season, with their campaigns slated to kick off in early March and conclude in late April with the CACC Championship. Soccer teams are also slated to compete in a full conference schedule. Men's golf and women's tennis will see their CACC Championship events moved to the spring season as well. Golf will conduct a CACC Championship in April, while women's tennis will hold a complete conference schedule in March and April before competing in the CACC tournament in late April.

All regularly scheduled CACC spring championship sports will be held as planned.

CACC institutions will abide by all federal, state and local public health guidelines in returning to practice and competitions. Fall and spring semester plans are subject to change based on the latest developments in the COVID-19 pandemic.
