Baseball in East Region Tournament ChampionshipMay 17, 2015The Wilmington University baseball team needed to win two games on Sunday to claim the 2015 NCAA East Region Tournament Championship and did so with a 5-3 victory over top-seed and nationally top-ranked Franklin Pierce in the opener and an 11-9 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas in the final. The Wildcats were behind, 5-0, in the final before mounting the comeback with a six run second inning.
