Scouting the No. 2 Wilmington University Wildcats:

The Wildcats advanced to the double-elimination portion of the CACC Tournament after a one-year hiatus thanks to Max Carney's walk-off sacrifice fly in the 11th inning against Nyack on Saturday. It is the first time in program history the Wildcats won the play-in game to advance to the double elimination portion.

The Wildcats had five all-conference selections earlier this week, led by Rocky Ferrier and Sean Deely's First Team All-CACC selections. Kendall Small, Chuck Delagol, and Dan Hyatt were all voted Second Team All-CACC as well.

Ferrier leads the team and the CACC with 67 base hits this season. He is third in the CACC with a .368 batting average and sixth overall with a 448 on-base percentage. Ferrier is also second in the league with 19 bags, only being thrown out five times this season.

Small finished second in the CACC with 43 RBI. He's second on the team with 46 hits, collecting a team high 11 doubles and four homers on the year.

Deely leads the CACC with a 1.48 earned run average while going 7-0 on the year. He's also second in the CACC with 65 strikeouts. Delagol is 5-2 on the season, ranking 11th in the CACC with a 2.86 ERA. He has struck out 49 batters while only issuing 14 walks. Hyatt finished third in the CACC with seven saves this season, but lead the league in averaging 15.26 strikeouts per nine innings pitched. He has 26 punchouts in only 15.1 innings pitched.

As a team, the Wildcats are fourth in the league with a .280 batting average overall. But in CACC play alone, the Wildcats rank second in the league with a .283 batting average. They are also second in the CACC with 89 doubles on the year, with 40 of them coming in CACC play.

On the mound, the Wildcats are also second in the CACC with a 3.85 team ERA overall. That number goes even lower in CACC play, also ranking second with a 2.72 team ERA. The Wildcats pitching staff leads the conference in averaging 8.13 K/9 overall, raising the number to 8.78 against CACC competition.
