NCAA East 1 Regional Final: #4 Wilmington vs. #5 NYITMay 20, 2019Needing to win two games against fifth seeded NYIT to claim the NCAA DII East 1 Regional Title and advance to the East Super Regional, the Wilmington University baseball team fell just short, 6-3, in the first game on Saturday. The Wildcats fell behind early and came back to tie the game, 3-3, in the eighth inning, but the Bears answered with three runs of their own in the bottom of the eighth to take the lead and the game. The Wildcats brought the tying run to the plate with one out in the ninth, but couldn't strike with runners on base. Three-Run Eighth Inning Ends Baseball’s Season, 6-3, as NYIT Advances to East Super Regional SeriesMay 18, 2019A three-run bottom of the eighth inning was too much to overcome as the fourth seeded Wilmington University baseball team fell to fifth seeded NYIT, 6-3, in the NCAA Division II East 1 Regional Final on Saturday at Bonomo Field on the campus of Adelphi University.

NCAA East 1 Regional: WU vs. Adelphi and Franklin PierceMay 18, 2019The Wildcats won two games Friday to keep their season alive, defeating top seed and host Adelphi, 14-5, before battling with #8 Franklin Pierce to the final out, coming out out top, 12-10. The bats came alive for the Wildcats, smacking 13 hits against Adelphi and 16 more hits against Franklin Pierce. The Ravens had the bases loaded and no outs in the 7th, but Quintin Ivy caught a foul ball and threw the runner out at the plate for a double play, keepnig momentum on the Wildcats' side. NCAA East 1 Region: #4 Wilmington vs. #5 NYITMay 17, 2019The Wilmington University baseball threw the first punch in the opening round of the NCAA Division II East 1 Regional Tournament on Thursday, but NYIT fought back and held a 6-3 lead after the 4th inning. The WIldcats scored seven runs in the bottom of the ninth to force extras, but NYIT came out and scored three unearned runs in the top of the 10th to take the game, 10-7. Max Carney had three hits and two RBI for the Wildcats while Kendall Small had two hits with a two-run double in the ninth. Eddie Nevins Named D2CCA East Region Player of the Year in Leading Five Players on All-Region TeamsMay 16, 2019A day ahead of the NCAA Division II East Regional Tournament, the Wilmington University baseball team learned that five student-athletes were named a 2019 Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-East Region, including junior Eddie Nevins being named the East Region Player of the Year.

Bsaeball vs. Nyack (CACC Play-In)May 04, 2019The Wildcats gave themselves a chance to defend their CACC Tournament Championship by defeating Nhack, 14-3, in the Play-In at WIlson Field on Saturday. Luke Johnson hit his 11th homer of the season to get things started before the Wildcats used a four-run fifth and a six-run sixth to pull away from the Warriors. Quintin Ivy and Max Carney had three hits each while Luke Johnson and Carney led the offense with four RBI each. Dan Hyatt went 7 innings and struck out 7, allowing two unearned runs on four hits. Baseball vs. JeffersonApril 29, 2019The Wilmington University clinched the CACC South Division's No. 3 seed on the last day of the CACC regular season on Sunday, beating the Rams, 13-1 and 6-5 (8 inn.). Luke Johnson hit three homers on the day, two in game one, while Frank Nigro and Matt Stepnoski also blasted bombs. Dakota Graham came through with a walk-off single in the btotom of the eighth to pick up the sweep. Brad Scull threw six strong innings in his second outing from the injury list before Noah Latshaw struck out five in four innings in a game two start.
