The Wildcats won two games Friday to keep their season alive, defeating top seed and host Adelphi, 14-5, before battling with #8 Franklin Pierce to the final out, coming out out top, 12-10. The bats came alive for the Wildcats, smacking 13 hits against Adelphi and 16 more hits against Franklin Pierce. The Ravens had the bases loaded and no outs in the 7th, but Quintin Ivy caught a foul ball and threw the runner out at the plate for a double play, keepnig momentum on the Wildcats' side. The WIldcats scored seven runs in the bottom of the ninth to force extras, but NYIT came out and scored three unearned runs in the top of the 10th to take the game, 10-7. Max Carney had three hits and two RBI for the Wildcats while Kendall Small had two hits with a two-run double in the ninth. Luke Johnson hit his 11th homer of the season to get things started before the Wildcats used a four-run fifth and a six-run sixth to pull away from the Warriors. Quintin Ivy and Max Carney had three hits each while Luke Johnson and Carney led the offense with four RBI each. Dan Hyatt went 7 innings and struck out 7, allowing two unearned runs on four hits.
