Baseball Moves Up to No. 4 in Latest NCBWA East Region Poll

NEWARK, Del. - - Following a 4-1 week, the Wilmington University baseball team moved up one spot in the latest NCBWA East Region Poll and now sit in fourth with 64 points.

Last week, the Wildcats defeated Nyack, split a doubleheader with Felician, and ended the weekend with a sweep of Post. They are now 7-1 overall.

Southern New Hampshire remains atop the East Region and are now 8-0 overall. St. Thomas Aquinas climbed one spot to No. 2 overall and remain unbeaten at 9-0. Franklin Pierce dropped a spot to No. 3 and are 9-3 overall.

Molloy follows the Wildcats in fifth at 10-5 overall while new to the rankings is Bentley at No. 6 with a 9-3 record. Dominican (7-4), Jefferson (9-5), Le Moyne (3-1), and Caldwell (6-4) round out the rankings this week.

The Wildcats are scheduled to play two more against Nyack, three games against Jefferson, and two games against Dominican this week.
