Baseball Moves up to No. 6 in Latest NCBWA East Region Poll

NEWARK, Del. - - Heading into the final stretch of the regular season, the Wilmington University baseball team moved up one spot to sixth in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers (NCBWA) East Region Poll on Tuesday.

The Wildcats picked up 44 points this week after going 2-1 last week. The Wildcats are now 11-4 overall for the 2021 season.

Southern New Hampshire remains at No. 1, although St. Thomas Aquinas is closing in, trailing by just a point. SNHU is now 14-2 while the Spartans are 16-2. Franklin Pierce remains in third, and is now 12-4 on the year.

Molloy moved up two spots to No. 4 with a 14-7 overall record while Le Moyne stayed at No. 5 with a record of 11-5.

Bentley follows Wilmington at No. 7, falling three spots with a 14-8 record. Goldey-Beacom moves up one spot to No. 8, holding onto a 12-3 overall record. Dominican moved up one to No. 9 with a 13-6 record while Jefferson slipped two spots to No. 10 with a 16-9 overall record.

The Wildcats Head to Jefferson today for a single makeup game while they still have three games against Goldey-Beacom and two games against Dominican.
