Lautenschlaeger Leads Wilmington Golf Through Two Rounds at Guy Harvey Invitational

Senior Alexander Lautenschlaeger paced the Wilmington University golf team with a team low 71 in the first round at the Guy Harvey Invitational hosted by Nova Southeastern at the PGA National Champion Course on Monday afternoon.

The Wildcats played two rounds on Monday ad sit in 15th overall after shooting a 305-308 for a two round score of 613 (+37). Lautenschlaeger leads the Wildcats with a 71-76, 147 for a three-over score. He was tied for eighth after the first round and now sits in a tie for 24th overall after the first day.

Barry's Adam Svensson shot a similar 71 like Lautenschlaeger but turned around and shot a Monday low 64 to finish with a 135 (-9) after the first two rounds.

Freddy Braun was the second scorer for the Wildcats, shooting back-to-back 77's to sit with a 154 (+10) after the first two rounds. Braun is in a tie for 59th overall.

Andreas Lunding and Joey Russo each finished with a 156 on Monday as Lunding shot back-to-back 78's while Russo shot a 79-77. Both Lunding and Russo are 12-over par and in a tie for 71st overall.

Jordan Lamb was the final scorer for the Wildcats, shooting a 79-81 for a two-round score of 160. He is in a tie for 83rd overall at 16-over par.

Playing as an individual, sophomore Sam Clark is in a tie for 56th overall, shooting a 75-78 two round score with 153 total strokes. He is nine-over par. Senior Matt DiEleuterio also played as an individual for the Wildcats, finishing Monday in a tie for 94th with an 84-89, 173 two round score.

Barry leads the Guy Harvey Invitational by 13 strokes, shooting a first round score of 280 and backing that up with a second round score of 279. St. Leo is in second at four-under par at 572 while host Nova Southeastern sits in third place with a 576 even-round score.

In a shotgun start on Tuesday, the Wildcats will begin play at 8:30 a.m. on the 12th hole. Tuesday's round is scheduled as the third and final round of the Guy Harvey Invitational.
