NEWARK, Del. - - The eight-time Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament champion Wilmington University golf team enters the 2018 spring season atop not only the CACC rankings, but also the East Region, rankings according to GolfStat.com.

The Wildcats open their 2018 spring season already locked into advancing to the NCAA Atlantic/East Super Regional Tournament after winning their eighth consecutive CACC Tournament in the fall. They begin their trek to the Super Regional Tournament at the Saint Leo Invitational in Saint Leo, Florida, on February 26.

According to GolfStat.com, the Wildcats are ranked 84th in the NCAA Division II National rankings, which tops the CACC and the East Region (CACC, ECC, and NE10 conferences). They are second among Atlantic/East Super Regional participants, trailing only Charleston who is ranked No. 51.

During the spring season, the Wildcats will travel to Saint Leo, compete in the Jefferson Quad at the ACE Club in Lafayette Hill, Pa., on March 27, and head to the Battle at the Shores hosted by Barry University to begin the month of April.
