Wildcats in Eighth Place with a 609 After Two Rounds at the Miami Intercollegiate

DORAL, Fla. - - The Wilmington University golf team posted rounds of 305 and 305 at the Miami Intercollegiate, starting their final tournament of the fall season on the Red Tiger course at the Trump National Doral.

Lynn is leading the after shooting rounds of 280 and 272, being the only team to shoot under par in the first two rounds, coming in with a 552 (-8). The Wildcats are in eighth place with a 609 (+49).

The Wildcats were led by Enrique Valverde, as he shot rounds of 76-74 for a 150 on the par-70 course. He is tied for 28th overall with a +10. Senior Arvy Shongwe and freshman Ali Ladak are right behind Valverde in a tie for 33rd. They both shot identical rounds of 74 and 77 for a 151 (+11).

Senior Braden McKay is tied for 43rd overall, posting scores of 81 and 76 for a 157 (+17). Freshman Tyler Cleaves rounded out the Wildcats on the course on Monday, sitting in 48th overall with rounds of 84 and 77 for a 161 (+21).

Southern Wesleyan's Eric Shea in tops on the leaderboard after the first two rounds, posting scores of 68 and 66 for a 134 (-6). Lynn teammates Carlos Bustos and Tomas Gana are tied for second with identical rounds of 67 and 69 for a 136 (-4).

The third and final round will begin Tuesday morning.
