CACC Retrospective Series: 2012 Wilmington Golf

The CACC continued its original series, CACC Retrospective, on Thursday night, and featured the 2012 Wilmington University golf team that won its second straight CACC Championship and then went on to win the University's first ever Regional Championship, claiming the 2012 NCAA DII Atlantic/East Super Regional Tournament at the Hershey Country Club.

Senior PJ Tighe led the Wildcats at both tournaments, winning medalist honors at the CACC Championship with a 76-71 for a two-round score of 147 (+3). A week later, he went on to win the Super Regional as well, posting rounds of 72-73-72 for a 217 (+4) to win by eight strokes. The Wildcats defeated Post by 12 strokes for their second straight CACC Championship in 2012, and then defeated Indiana (Pa.) by six strokes in the Super Regional.

CACC Associate Commissioner Doug DeBiase caught up with current head coach Mark Hall and 2012 head coach Harry Jennings to relive the end of the 2012 season.
