NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - In their 2023-24 season debut, Wilmington University golfers Tyler Cleaves and Matthew Pulgini were named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Co-Golfers of the Week, as announced by the conference office.
The Wildcats finished eighth overall at the California (Pa.) Vulcan Invite, shooting rounds of 312-304-304 for a 920 at the Cedarbrook Golf Course in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania.
Both Cleaves and Pulgini, as well as Felician's Pablo Hidalgo, shot a three-round total of 227 (+11) to finish in a tie for 26th overall and all earn CACC Golfer of the Week status.
Cleaves went 79-71-77 for his 227, with the second round 71 (-1) being the best round of the tournament for the Wildcats. Pulgini earned his 227 by shooting rounds of 77-75-75.
The Wildcats are back in action on Sunday, September 17 when they head to Petersburg, Virginia, to compete in The Griffin Invitational at the Country Club of Petersburg.
