Harry "Hap" Jennings begins his 20th season, his fifth as an assistant coach in 2023-24. Jennings was the head coach of the Wildcats from the program's inception through the 2017-18 season. Coach Jennings decided to change his role to pursue other endeavors. Head Coach Jennings had conference, regional and national history making and hall of fame season successes. He is extremely proud of all his players and the teams he coached here at Wilmington University and is excited about the future players coming to Wilmington University.

During his tenure as Head Golf Coach, the team won the Atlantic/East Super Regional in 2012 at Hershey Country Club and had a player win medalist honor by seven strokes. The team also won its second Atlantic/East Super Regional Championship in 2015 at the Longaberger Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio. He also became the first coach in Wilmington University history to be named East Region Coach of the Year after the Golf Coaches Association of American, in conjunction with the Eaton Corporation awarded him in 2012, and recently earned his second Regional Coach of the Year award following the 2015 season.

In the 2016 season, Jennings took his team further than any other East Region program by earning a spot in the Elite 8 at the NCAA Division II National Tournament following three rounds of stroke play. The team advanced to the Medal Match Play but fell in the quarterfinals to eventual 2016 NCAA Division II National Champion St. Leo University.
