NEWARK, Del. – The Wilmington University men's basketball team is set to play 29 games throughout the 2018-19 season, including 12 home games and an exhibition game against the University of Delaware, as head coach Dan Burke announces the 2018-19 schedule.

The Wildcats achieved a 16-13 overall record last year while going 11-8 in the CACC to earn a spot in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament for the third time in five years.

Wilmington will start the season off in the CACC/ECC Challenge tournament hosted at St. Thomas Aquinas College on November 10 and 11. The Wildcats will then have their homer on Friday, November 16 at 7:00 p.m., before they take on the University of Delaware in an exhibition game Sunday, November 18. Before WilmU starts their conference play, they will face three PSAC schools, including Shippensburg, West Chester, and Millersville at the end of November.

Wilmington will host five home games between the months of November and December including two back-to-back homes games in the beginning of December against Jefferson on the 4th and Goldey-Beacom on the 8th. The Wildcats will then finish out the 2018 year with three away games at Kutztown, NCAA Division I Morgan State, and Holy Family.

The team will play one more PSAC school, as they will travel to Bloomsburg University on January 9th, and then finish out the season with all CACC contests.

The men will host four home games in the month of February before they finish out their regular season at Goldey-Beacom College on March 2. Along with competing against the CACC South Division teams, the Wildcats will host Nyack, Dominican, and Caldwell at the WU Athletics Complex from the North Division.

The Wildcats will look to be one of the top four teams in the South Division at the end of the regular season to advance to the postseason. The CACC Tournament will kick off on March 5 for the quarterfinals, which will be located at the higher seed, followed by the semifinals and championship on March 9 and 10 at Caldwell University.
