Men’s Lacrosse Notches Five Student-Athletes to 2020 CACC All-Academic Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Wilmington University men's lacrosse team placed five student-athletes on the 2020 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team, as announced by the conference this morning.

The Wildcats were the only CACC school to place five student-athletes on the All-Academic Team, which included a total of 16 student-athletes from six Universities.

To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution. Requirements for eligibility for the all-academic teams were slightly altered this spring only, as the 2020 spring season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Among the five Wildcats to make the list included two-time honoree Jamie Colligan who earned a 3.65 cumulative grade point average while studying environmental science his junior year. Wilmington rounded out the list with four sophomores, including midfielder TJ Maiura who earned a 3.53 GPA while majoring in health sciences. Defenseman Jake Mollohan maintained a 3.86 cumulative GPA while majoring in criminal justice, which was the second highest GPA on the All-Academic Team. Fellow defenseman Zach Pancake sustained a 3.69 GPA studying business management, as Noah Brock was the Wildcats' third defenseman to make the list while maintaining a 3.65 cumulative grade point average majoring in accounting.

Georgian Court University's Daniel Burnham had the highest cumulative grade point average of all members on the squad with a mark of 3.94, as the sophomore majors in business administration. Wilmington University's Jake Mollohan was next with a mark of 3.86 in his major of criminal justice.

Six of the members on the unit were named to the 2020 CACC MLAX All-Academic Team for at least the second time in their respective career, including Post University's Christopher Stahl, who was placed on the squad for a third time.
