Seven Wildcats Earn Spot on 2022 CACC Men’s Lacrosse All-Academic Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - The 2022 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Regular Season Champions and Tournament Finalist Wilmington University men's lacrosse team placed seven student-athletes on the CACC Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team, as announced by the conference office.

To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution; and d) student-athlete must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.

Paced by three-time honoree Zach Pancake, the Wildcats were only one of three CACC institutions to have seven or more student-athletes make the All-Academic Team. The Wildcats also placed two-time honorees Keeshawn Bell, Noah Given, and Logan Stinson on this year's team. Cole Bauer, Jimmy Cava, and Jared Pheasant join the team for the first time in their careers as well.

Reigning CACC Champion Chestnut Hill College paced all teams with a league-leading nine honorees. Connor O'Donnell led the Griffins with a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average. Post University was next on the list with eight student-athletes making the squad.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • Four of the honorees earned GPAs of 3.90 or higher.
  • Thirteen (13) of the honorees made the CACC Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team for the second time.
  • Five of the honorees made the All-Academic squad for the third time.
  • O'Donnell and Dominican University's Bryan O'Loughlin made the All-Academic team for the fourth time.
