Upset Bid Halted by #9 and Top Seed Adelphi, 2-1, in NCAA Second RoundNovember 11, 2018The Second Round upset bid came up just short for the Wilmington University men’s soccer team, 2-1, as top seed and nationally No. 9 ranked Adelphi snuck out with the victory on Sunday afternoon at Ted Grant Field on the campus of Le Moyne College.

Men's Soccer vs. Adelphi (NCAA 2nd Round)November 11, 2018The upset bid over top seed and nationally No. 9 Adelphi fell just short for the Wildcats in the Second Round of the NCAA East Regional Tournament on Sunday. After falling behinnd just 1:11 into the match, the Wildcats battled back to tie the match off a corner in the 40th minute. Sam Jester headed home the team's fourth corner of the half from Fredrik Bentdal to send the game into the half at 1-1. The second half was evenly played throughout, but an own goal set the Wildcats back, 2-1, in the 84th minute and they weren't able to recover. Men's Soccer vs. Jefferson (CACC)November 02, 2018The Wildcats squared off against the only team that has beaten them this year in the CACC Tournament Semifinals, and knocked off the Rams, 2-1, at Post's LaMoy FIeld. After a scoreless first half, the Wildcats struck twice with a PK from Tom Garratt and a header from Sam Jester. The Rams closed the gap to 2-1, but didn't threaten again as the Wildcats earned the win. They advance to the CACC Championship match for the first time since 2014, looking to win for the first time since 2007.
