Lorne Bickley Earns Another Weekly Honor While Emily Camp Joins Him on CACC Weekly Reports

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - Following an undefeated week on the soccer pitch the Wilmington University men's and women's soccer teams had a student-athlete named a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

For the third time this season, men's soccer's Lorne Bickley has been named the CACC Player of the Week, scoring five more goals in two games. For the first time this year, women's soccer goalkeeper Emily Camp was named the CACC Goalkeeper of the Week following a 1-0-1 week.

Lorne Bickley (St. Helier, Jersey) collected his third hat trick of the season in the Wildcats' (8-0, 3-0 CACC) first game of the week, and then came back and scored two more goals on Saturday on Homecoming Weekend.

He got the scoring started in an 8-1 victory at Georgian Court on Wednesday, giving the Wildcats a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute. He then gave the Wildcats a 3-0 lead and completed his hat trick in the third minute of the second half, putting the Wildcats ahead, 6-0. On Saturday, Bickley volleyed home a cross in the 23rd minute for a 2-0 lead, then scored again in the second half for the 3-0 lead in the 77th minute.

Bickley continues to lead all of NCAA Division II with 13 goals and is averaging a nation's best 3.38 points per game.  The Wildcats lead the country in scoring (4.38 goals per game), total goals (35), points per game (11.88), assists (25), and total points (95).

Emily Camp (Pittsgrove, N.J.) did not allow a goal last week, making seven saves while recording one shutout and playing nearly 80 minutes in part of another shutout. The Wildcats went 1-0-1 in CACC play last week.

She made six saves against Georgian Court, preserving a 0-0 tie through two overtime periods. She then played the first 79:28 in goal against Dominican on Saturday, making one stop before giving way to Kira Watson. The Wildcats went on to win 3-0 on Homecoming Saturday. Camp leads the CACC with a 0.96 goals against average on the year, and is second overall with a .806 save percentage.

Men's soccer's Gabriel Prgomet was named to the Weekly Honor Roll after only allowing one goal in two games, making six stops to go 2-0 last week. Volleyball's Rebecca Rawlinson was also named on the Weekly Honor Roll, coming up with 14 solo blocks, 10 block assists, 26 kills and five aces in three matches last week.
