Men’s Soccer Remains at No. 8 in United Soccer Coaches’ National Poll and No. 2 in East Region

NEWARK, Del. - With one week left until the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference post season, the Wilmington University men's soccer team remained in the No. 8 spot of the United Soccer Coaches National Poll, while staying No. 2 in the East Region.

After another 2-0 week, the Wildcats maintained their spot in the National Poll at the No. 8 spot, while remaining in the second place spot in the East for a second consecutive week, despite Adelphi losing over the weekend.

Adelphi remains in the No. 1 spot in the East with an overall 14-1-1 record, as Franklin Pierce stays behind Wilmington in the third place spot with a record of 11-3-1. CACC foe Post moved up three spots in the poll to No. 5 this week with a record of 10-3-3 after defeating Goldey-Beacom and Caldwell last week.

Mercy remained in the fourth place spot after defeating Roberts Wesleyan, as the College of St. Rose remained sixth with Lemoyne jumping into the No. 7 spot. Newcomers Southern New Hampshire and Molloy enter into the East region poll this week at the No. 8 and 9 spots, while Bridgeport dropped five spots to round out the poll at No. 10.

Azusa Pacific University remains in first place of the national poll after remaining undefeated with an overall record of 14-0. Palm Beach Atlantic moved up to the No. 7 spot in front of the Wildcats after being in the No. 9 spot last week with a record of 11-2-2, while Young Harris College sits behind WilmU in the No. 9 spot, moving up six spots from No. 15 last week with an overall record of 10-3.
