Softball Head Coach Mike Shehorn Announces Elite High School Softball ID Clinics in August

NEWARK, Del. - - Wilmington University softball head coach Mike Shehorn has announced the addition of two Elite High School Softball ID Clinic dates in August to be held at the home of the Wildcats, Asbury Field.

The Wildcats' coaching staff will welcome interested participants on August 8 and August 9 to Asbury Field. The clinics are aimed to help high school softball players who are looking to play at the next level. The cost to attend each clinic is $60.00 and will encompass both offensive and position specific skills.

The first clinic on Tuesday, August 8 is geared towards infielders and outfielders. The WilmU coaching staff will teach defensive skills before ending the session on the offensive side of the ball. The clinic will be held at Asbury Field from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The other clinic on Wednesday, August 9, is geared towards pitchers and catchers. The WilmU coaching staff will team techniques and drills in the circle and behind the plate before moving onto the offensive side of the ball. The clinic will be held at Asbury Field from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

All participants are required to bring their own softball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, cleats/spikes, running or turf shoes, hat/visor, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catchers must bring their own gear.
