For the first time in program history the Wilmington Univerity softball team is heading to the Super Regional, being one of 16 teams still playing in the country. They used a three-run sixth inning to take a 4-1 lead on Sunday, in the game that was resumed from Saturday. Taylor Gillis knocked in Tristyn Stewart and Lauren Lopez brought in two for the cushion. Kylee Gunkel struck out the final batter to set off the celebration. The Wildcats will play Adelphi in Garden City, New York, starting on Thursday in a best of three series.
