2018 (XC): All-CACC (12th) - CACC Rookie of the Week (10/2) – ran in eight events his freshman season – ran a 8K personal best of 26:27.20 at the Don Cathcart Invitational, placing 11th – ran a 10K personal best at the NCAA Division II East Regional Championship with a time of 34:27.00, finishing 42nd overall – finished second at the WUXC Invite with a time of 28:56.0 – placed sixth out of 135 runners at the Philly Metro in 28:19.9 – finished 11th at the UD Blue and Gold Invite with a time of 28:29.3 – placed 127th out of 441 runners at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival with a time of 26:42.8 – came in 12th place at the CACC Championship in a time of 28:28.2 – finished 23rd at the Inter-Regional Border Battle with a time of 27:21.7.

High School: Ran cross country and track at C Milton Wright High School in Bel Air, Md., for head coach Donnie Mickey – best 5K time was a 16:08 – second team All-MCHE – first team All-County – All-State (7th for 3A).

Personal: Brandon Jose Cruz – son of Anjanette Cruz – has two siblings, Christopher and Elanna – majoring in Forensics Investigation at Wilmington University with aspirations of becoming a detective – from Bel Air, Md., also enjoys listening to music and playing video games – most played song on his iPod is Carousel by Travis Scott – if he could be someone else for a day he would be Will Smith – biggest pet peeve is when people interrupt others.
