Nine Events Make Up Inaugural Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Season, as Christian Stamm Announces 2019 Schedule

Newark, Del. – In its first official year as a program at Wilmington University, the men's and women's track and field team is set to compete in nine events, as head coach Christian Stamm announces the 2019 schedule.

The inaugural season will start out on Saturday, March 16 at the University of Maryland Invitational, before the team heads to Collegeville, Pa. the following Saturday to compete in the Ursinus Invitational. The Wildcats will end the month of March competing in the Danny Curran Invitational at Widener University. The meet is a two-day event scheduled for Friday and Saturday March 29-30.

The bulk of the Wildcats competitions will be held in April starting April 4-6 when they travel down to Williamsburg, Virginia for the Colonial Relays at the College of William and Mary.  Saturday, April 13 the team will compete at the Michael P. Brady Track and Field Complex at Rider University. The Greyhound Invitational at Moravian College will be a two-day event on April 19 and 20, before the Wildcats head to Franklin Field for the Penn Relays starting Thursday, April 25. WilmU will then go right from Penn Relays to the University of Delaware the following day to compete in the Delaware Open, Sunday, April 28.

The Wildcats final meet as a team will be at the CACC Championships, which will be held at Georgian Court University on Sunday, May 5.

Christian Stamm and the Wildcats will call Ursuline Academy's Serviam Field home for the 2019 season.
