Liz Sofia joins the Wilmington University Track & Field team as an assistant coach for the 2021 season under head coach Christian Stamm. Following a successful collegiate career of her own, Sofia joins the coaching ranks for the first time in her career.

The New York native became a Delawarian in 2015 after graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, New York. She competed in the shotput, discus, hammer, and weight throws throughout her Division III experience, specializing in the hammer and shotput.

Coach Sofia has earned her USTFCCCA Level I Coaching Certification.
