Women’s Basketball’s Macy Robinson Named Third Team All-CACC

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - Wilmington University graduate student Macy Robinson was voted to the 2018-19 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Conference Third Team on Tuesday, in a vote by the league's 14 head coaches.

It is the first time in her career that Macy Robinson (Wilmington, Del./St. Elizabeth's) has been named All-CACC, and just the first Wildcat since the 2015-16 season to be named All-Conference.

Robinson led the Wildcats and finished sixth in the CACC in scoring 14.9 points per game on the season. She finished second in the league in hitting 73 three-pointers on the year, making 36 percent of her attempts. She also finished second on the team in grabbing 6.5 rebounds a contest, and sixth in the CACC with 38 steals on the year.

The senior guard set a new career high, and fifth most in program history, with 34 points at Chestnut Hill in an overtime win, keeping the team's playoff hopes alive. She went 7-of-17 from beyond the three-point arc in the win. She also hit seven three-pointers in a win at Bloomfield, scoring 29 points while going 10-of-18 from the floor for the game. Her biggest three-pointer of the year may have been the one she hit with 17 seconds left, forcing overtime before the Wildcats came away with another victory.

Robinson finished the year with four double-doubles, grabbing a season high 15 rebounds with 17 points at Holy Family. She also had 25 points and 12 rebounds against Caldwell, 12 points and 11 rebounds against Dominican, and 34 points and 11 rebounds at Chestnut Hill.

Jefferson's Jessica Kaminski was voted as the CACC Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year while Post's Sha'Raya Haines was voted the CACC Rookie of the Year. USciences' head coach Jackie Hartzell was named the CACC Coach of the Year in a vote of the league's sports information directors.
