WEST BABYLON, N.Y. - - Wilmington University women's bowler Bailey Peters was named a East Coast Conference Co-Rookie of the Week after leading the Wildcats at the FDU Jamboree last week in Stratford, N.J.

It is the first time a Wildcat bowler has been named an ECC Player of the Week, this being their program's first season a part of the conference. It is the second year for the bowling program at Wilmington University.

Peters (Vancouver, Wash.) led the Wildcats at the FDU Jamboree by finishing tied for ninth during the traditional matches with a 196.8 average. She bowled matches of 198-171-202-183-230 for a Wildcat five-match score record of 984.

The 230 match score against Bethune-Cookman was a season's best for Peters, and the third best score a Wildcat has produced this season. Peters helped lead the young Wildcats to a 2-2 baker match record, defeating No. 13 Monmouth, and a 2-3 traditional match finish, defeating two NCAA Division I opponents.

Kutztown's Angela Kozma was named the ECC's Bowler of the Week after finishing seventh at the FDU Jamboree with a 198.0 average while Peters was named Co-Rookie of the Week with Chestnut Hill's Christina Del Vecchio.

The Wildcats return to action when they host the Wildcat DII Invitational at the New Castle Bowlerama starting on December 1.
