NEWARK, Del. - - The Wilmington University women's lacrosse team is holding a Winter Prospect Clinic on Monday, February 20 at the WU Athletics Complex. Head coach Jackie Trainer will team up with the rest of her coaching staff, as well as the current Wildcat team members, to help prepare girls for the upcoming spring season.

The clinic is available for all girls in grades 7-12 with check-in starting at 9:30 a.m. at the WU Athletics Complex. The clinic is $60.00 per participant with registration and payment done exclusively online at athletics.wilmu.edu/camps/camps-list.

Weather will determine whether the clinic is inside the WU Athletics Complex or outside on the turf.

Participants will have the opportunity to go through a dynamic warm-up with team's strength coach before getting into fundamentals, individual techniques, stations, and small-sided drills from the coaching staff and players. The girls will also have a chance to scrimmage against one another at the end of the clinic.

All college bound student-athletes will then have a chance to be a part of a information session with Coach Trainer and the coaching staff from 1-2 p.m. Parents of the potential student-athletes are encouraged to attend and take part in the information session.

The participants are required to bring their own goggles, mouth guard, stick, water bottle, turf shoes, and sneakers. Please email or call Coach Trainer at jackie.n.trainer@wilmu.edu or (302) 356-2024 for more information or for any questions.
