NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Wilmington University women's lacrosse team earned a total of 58 points to take the fifth spot in the 2019 CACC Women's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches' Poll, announced by the conference Thursday.

The women are coming off a 7-10 overall record in head coach Kevin Day's first season. The Wildcats finished 5-4 in CACC play to clinch the No. 5 seed heading into the CACC Tournament, where they fell in the quarterfinals to Caldwell.

Reigning CACC Tournament Champion Georgian Court takes the top spot in the preseason coaches' poll with 10 first place votes and 100 total points. CACC Tournament Runner-Up Chestnut Hill and Regular Season Runner-Up Jefferson tied for second with 85 points apiece.
