NEWARK, Del. - - The Wilmington University women's lacrosse team is back in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament as the No. 3 seed this week, hosting No. 6 Chestnut Hill on Tuesday in the quarterfinals at the WU Athletics Complex at 3:30 p.m.
Since the game is a part of the CACC Tournament, entrance into the WU Athletics Complex will be ticketed with the following prices:
Adults - $8.00
Students, Children, and Senior Citizens - $4.00
The Wildcats earned the No. 3 seed with a 7-2 CACC record, going 10-7 overall. It is only the second time in program history that the team won 10 games in a season and seven games in the CACC, as the 2010 Wildcats went 10-8 overall and 7-5 in CACC play.
The Wildcats and Griffins met a week ago at the WU Athletics Complex, with the Wildcats coming out on top, 17-9. Brooke Siebert scored four goals and added three assists while Lashay Ross scored four goals as well. Taylor Lambeth scored three times to go with two assists. Siebert also came away with seven ground balls and seven draw controls in the win.
Georgian Court won the regular season championship while Jefferson finished in second place. Both the Lions and Rams earned a First Round bye and will meet the winners of the two quarterfinal games in the CACC Tournament Semifinals.
