Sara Rockey joins Kevin Day's coaching staff for her first season as an assistant in 2021. She comes to Wilmington with an NCAA DIII playing background and an NCAA DII coaching background.

Rockey joins the Wildcats after one shortened season as a coach at Lock Haven University in 2020. She was also a four-year member of the Lycoming College women's lacrosse team, graduating in 2019. She was a two-year starting defending, earning captaincy as a senior. Rockey was also a three time Dean's List recipient at Lycoming, an active member and secretary of SAAC, a two-year member of the MAC Academic Honor Roll, and a member of the MAC Sportsmanship team.

While at Lycoming, she also spent time as a volunteer coach for her high school alma mater Bellefonte Area High School girl's lacrosse team from 2015-18. After graduating from Lycoming, she became a graduate assistant for the Lock Haven volleyball program before helping the lacrosse team in the spring.
