BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - - Trailing early, the Wilmington University women's soccer team scored three consecutive goals to overtake Concordia, 3-1, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Holtdorf Soccer Field.

The Clippers (0-6, 0-5 CACC) scored in the 16th minute but the Wildcats (3-3, 3-1 CACC) responded with three straight goals, two of which came in the second half, to overcome Concordia on the Clipper's Homecoming Weekend.

Concordia took advantage of a turnover in the Wildcats' box, as Flavia Santana put the home team on top in the early going.

The Wildcats out shot the Clippers, 8-2, in the first half, but it wasn't until the 42nd minute that the team was able to find the back of the net. The offensive threat started with a corner at 40:10 and an initial shot from Chandler Lages at 41:32. Lages' shot was saved, but the rebound got away from Clipper goalkeeper Samantha Street and Loran Wyrough was there for the put-back, scoring her fourth goal of the season to tie the match 41:39 into the match.

Following the break, the Wildcats posted the first six shots of the second half, having the first four either be wider or be saved. The Wildcats were able to break the ice in the second half in the 73rd minute, as Lages finished her shot for her second goal of the season with an assist from La'Dae Boykin 72:31 into the match.

The Wildcats added to the lead moments later, as Wyrough capped the scoring and gave the visitors an insurance goal at the 75:50 mark with her second goal of the season. Lages and Boykin combined for the assists on Wyrough second goal, giving Lages a goal and two assists in the contest.
