LAKEWOOD, N.J. - - A strong second half accompanied by a pair of goals led Georgian Court past the Wilmington University women's soccer team, 3-0, in the final regular season Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest for the Wildcats on Tuesday afternoon.

Georgian Court (13-2-2, 10-0-1 CACC) remained atop the CACC standings with only one conference match remaining while the Wildcats (9-7, 9-3 CACC) slipped to third place. The Wildcats can only watch as the rest of the conference finishes out the regular season to determine the CACC Tournament seeding. Wilmington can remain as high as third, but slip to as low as fifth depending on the outcomes of games for Caldwell and Post the rest of this week.

The Lions supplied the pressure the majority of the game and finally broke through with a mark in the 67th minute. Rachel Marino picked up her seventh goal of the season at the 66:10 mark to put the home team up 1-0. Georgian Court put the match away with a breakaway goal in the 88th minute, as Lizzy Kroon buried the opportunity for her 16th goal of the year.

The Wildcats lone shot on goal was their first of the game, as Casey O'Connor stopped Rebecca Dolhansky's attempt in the fifth minute. The Wildcats were out shot, 12-4, in the first half and 22-4 in the match.

Wilmington's best opportunity came in the 22nd minute as the team earned three straight corner kicks, with the third coming as a shot from Hazal Cetin was blocked and exited over the end line.

The Wildcats close out the regular season with a nonconference match on the road, heading to Lincoln (Pa.) University on Thursday for a 4:00 p.m. start. The CACC Tournament First Round game is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3 at 2:00 p.m. at a location yet to be determined.
