NEWARK, Del. - - Three first half goals propelled the Wilmington University women's soccer team to a 4-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory at the WU Athletics Complex on Tuesday afternoon.

The Wildcats outshot the Griffins (2-4, 1-3 CACC), 20-2, in the match and earned more corners, 7-0, to keep the pressure in the offensive zone for the majority of the afternoon. The Wildcat goalkeepers only needed to record one save in securing the shutout and 13 of the team's 20 shots were on goal on the offensive side of the field.

Freshman Emily Navarrete scored her first two collegiate career goals to boost the Wildcats (3-4, 2-1 CACC) to their second straight victory, while Rebecca Dolhansky posted a goal and an assist. Kelly Robbins finished off the scoring with her first of the year in the second half.

It didn't take long for the Wildcats to assert themselves in the contest, as they scored on the first chance of the game. Krysta Memis carried the ball into the 18-yard box and towards the endline before send a low cross to the far post. Navarrete was there for the tap in goal, her first of her collegiate career, just 1:32 into the match.

Navarrete was on the end of another cross for her second goal of the game, this time off the foot from Dolhansky on a set piece. Navarrete beat the keeper to the ball in the box, knocking it in the goal before a Griffin defender cleared it away. It was determined to have crossed the goal line before being cleared, giving Navarrete and the Wildcats a 2-0 lead in the 14th minute.

Dolhansky made it 3-0 before the half with her first goal of the season, getting on the receiving end of an Alex Keck cross to the top of the box. Dolhansky made it 3-0 from straight away 36:31 into the match.

Kelly Robbins was able to get on the scoring sheet in the second half, completing the scoring at 4-0. A cross into the box was originally played by the Griffins but miscleared. Robbins jumped at the chance and her shot slipped inside the near post for the 4-0 lead in the 62nd minute.

Dolhansky led the team with five shots and three shots on goal while Robbins, Navarrete, and Memis all had two shots on frame. Kate Tubo picked up the win in goal for the Wildcats but Lisa Tiberi made the lone save in the game for the Wildcats in 23:28 of play.

The Wildcats remain at home but step away from the CACC with their next contest, as they host LIU Post on Thursday. The game is slated for a 4:00 p.m. start.
