EAST MEADOW, N.Y. - - The Wilmington University women's tennis run at the 2016 ITA East Regional Championships have come to an end on Sunday, as all three doubles teams were eliminated inside Eisenhower Park.

The duo of Anushka Sathe and Milica Knezevic held a 5-4 advantage over their Queens' opponent, but couldn't close out the match in falling 8-6. The eighth seeded combination from NYIT took down Laura Gil and Begona Gomar, 8-5, while Sabrina Blasi-Smith and Lauren Kiger dropped their doubles match, 8-2, to Chestnut Hill.

The Wildcats return to their regular dual match schedule later this weekend with a pair of Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference matches. The Wildcats will host Philadelphia at the Delcastle Tennis Center before hosting Post on Sunday afternoon. The Wildcats are 4-3 overall and 3-1 in the CACC.
