Brad Rose will enter his third season at the helm of the Wilmington University women’s tennis program for the 2018-19 season. He started the program from scratch in his first season and has already turned the team into a conference and regional contender.

Last year, Rose and the Wildcats took another step forward, advancing the the CACC Tournament Championship in only their second season as a program. The team went 12-8 overall, finishing third in the CACC with a 6-2 mark. The Wildcats defeated Concordia, 5-2, in the CACC Tournament Semifinals before falling to top-seeded and Regional No. 1 Goldey-Beacom, 5-3, in the Championship. The WIldcats narrowly missed a regional bid, finishing seventh in the final poll.

In his first season, Rose led the program to a second place finish in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Regular Season. The team eventually fell in the CACC Tournament Semifinals in their first season. Despite a fourth place ranking in the final Oracle/ITA Division II Women’s East Regional Ranking, the Wildcats narrowly missed an invitation to the NCAA East Regional Tournament, finishing seventh overall in the NCAA Regional Rankings. Rose also placed one individual on the singles Regional Ranking at season’s end.

Rose joined the Wildcats after reviving the Camden County College women’s tennis program over the past two seasons. He helped lead the team to back-to-back appearances in the NJCAA National Tournament, including a fifth place finish in 2015. The team finished third overall at the NJCAA Region XIX Tennis Tournament in 2014, and placed second in the 2015 NJCAA Region XIX Championship in his second season.

During his tenure at Camden County, Rose coached a pair of players to All-American status, a first flight Second Team Singles All-American in 2014 and a fifth flight Second Team Singles Second Team All-American in 2015.

Prior to leading Camden County College, Rose was the boys and girls tennis coach at Haddon Heights High School, starting in 2008. He was named the 2013 SJTCAA Boy’s Tennis Coach of the Year after leading the team to the 2013 South Jersey Group 1 Championship.

Rose played collegiately at Gloucester County Community College and West Chester University. While at Gloucester County, he earned the 1998-99 Region XIX Championship and he was named the Golden Ram’s team captain in 2003. He also played tennis and wrestled at Haddon Township High School from 1994-97.
