NEWARK, Del. - - Senior volleyball outside hitter Allison Briley has been voted to the 2016 College Sports Information Directors (CoSIDA) Division II Academic All-District I Team for a combined effort of her work in the classroom and the field, as announced by the organization on Thursday.

Briley (Monroeville, Pa.) carries a 3.89 cumulative grade point average during her senior season, majoring in Business Management at Wilmington University and was voted to the team by the East Region's sports information directors. It is the third year in a row that Briley has been named a CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree.

The senior became the program's all-time leader in kills (1,303 thus far) and points (1,445.0 thus far) this season, while also reaching the 1,000-career dig plateau as well. She is currently seventh all-time with 1,121 career digs.

This season, Briley leads the team and is 11th in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference in averaging 2.93 kills per set. Her 3.48 points per set also lead the team and rank 12th in the CACC. Her defense has improved every season and she is now second on the team and 13th in the league in averaging 3.68 digs per set.
