2013: CACC Runner of the Year (first at CACC Championship) – named All-CACC – named All-East Region – competed in all eight events for the men’s team – five mile time of 26:43 at the CACC Championship earned him a first place finish, his lone medalist honor of the year – fastest 8K time came at the Princeton Cross Country Invite, placing 93rd overall with a time of 25:17 – places second at the UD Invite with a time of 26:42.74 and third at the WUXC Invite in 28:43.47 – earned All-Region with a sixth place finish at NCAA Division II East Regional Championship in 31:56.6, leading the team to a third place finish – led the team with a 115th place finish at the NCAA Division II National Championship with a time of 32:39.30.

2012: All-CACC (fourth at CACC Championship) – one of the team’s most consistent runners, participating in all eight meets in the season consisting of the DVC Invite, WUXC Invite, RiverHawks, Philly Metro, Don CathCart, GBC Fall Classic, CACC Conference Championships, and East Regional meet – finished in the top 10 in six different meets throughout the year – finished a season’s best third place at the GBC Fall Classic in 28:57 – placed fourth in a season’s best 25:36 at the Don Cathcart Invitational – also placed fourth at the CACC Championship meet, finishing in 27:41 – placed 36th at the NCAA East Regionals in 31:57.4 in the 10K course – Wilmington Academic All-Star.

High School: Two year letterwinner in cross country at the Delaware Military Academy under head coach Noel Breger – named First Team All-State as a senior with a time of 15:48 – also a three year letterwinner in soccer and a two year letter winner in lacrosse – named All-Conference in all three sports – honor student

Personal: Richie C. Mitten – son of Carolyn Mitten – has an older sister, Melanie – majoring in criminal justice at Wilmington University with aspirations of becoming a state trooper – from Bear, Del. – if he could be someone else for a day, he would be Dan Bilzerian – if he could date a celebrity, he would date Selena Gomez – his most memorable sports moment is when the cross country team swept the top five finishers last season.
