2018: Ran in six meets her sophomore year – ran a new personal-best 5K at the Chili Pepper Festival with a time of 21:56.1 – ran a new personal-best 6K at the Don Cathcart Invite with a time of 25:42.04 to finish 52nd overall – finished 17th at the WUXC Invite with a time of 23:48.4 – ran a 22:58.1 at the CACC Championship to place 40th overall – placed 122nd at the NCAA Division II East Regional Championships with a time of 26:35.20 – also ran in the Philly Metro with a time of 23:22.2.
2017: Competed in all seven events her freshman year as a Wildcat – season’s best 5K came at the CACC Championships with a time of 22:05.2, where she finished 34th overall – ran her season’s best 6k in 27:21.6 at the NCAA Division II Regional Championships – finished 24th at the Philly Metro – ran a 24:47.76 at the Don Cathcart Invite – finished ninth at the WUXC Invite with a time of 22:56.23 – also competed in the UD Invitational #1 and the UD Blue and Gold Invite.
High School: Ran two seasons of cross country and four years of indoor and outdoor track at Bel Air High School – was a member of the cross country team that advanced to states in both 2015 and 2016 – helped lead the 4x200 relay team to a State Championship as a sophomore and junior – helped lead the 4x400 and 4x800 relay teams to the State Championship as a senior – 4x200 relay team set a new school record – named the indoor and outdoor track and field captain as a senior – honor roll student.
Personal: Julia M. Merritt – daughter of April Kramer and Mark Merritt – the oldest with four siblings: Mark, Briana, Cielo, and Gabriel – cousin, Kaitlin Ayres, played lacrosse at Hofstra University (2012-14) – majoring in behavioral science at Wilmington University with aspirations of working in special education – from Abington, Md. – the perfectly prepared meal would be a bag of sour cream and cheddar chips – if she could date a celebrity she would date Kevin Parker – her spirit animal is Sid the Sloth – she wouldn’t even consider being someone else for a day.
