Title: Mental Health Consultant

Dr. Joseph Wright has been is a licensed psychologist in Delaware and Pennsylvania and been in practice as a doctoral-level psychologist for 22 years. He holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Virginia Tech, a master’s degree from Villanova University and completed his pre-doctoral internship training at the School of Medicine at the University of Virginia along with a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. 

Dr. Wright has a wide range of clinical experiences as a psychologist which includes working with combat veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), forensic psychology, clinical neuropsychology and working with college students and student-athletes.  He primarily utilizes an evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) approach to sports psychology and psychotherapy designed to help his clients reach their true potential in the classroom, in their various sports, and beyond. 

Dr. Wright brings passion, commitment and compassion to his clinical work and believes that everyone has the ability to overcome obstacles and reach their goals with the right mindset, grit/determination and learned optimism.
