La'Shawn Waters

La’Shawn Waters is a nationally certified Licensed Mental Health Clinician and co-owner of a Rising Hope Therapy in Newark, Del. She is very excited to join the Wilmington University counseling team as WilmU is where she completed her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
She obtained her undergraduate degree from University of Delaware and attended high school in Coatesville, Pa., where she played varsity basketball. La’Shawn is currently a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the CMHC program as well as an adjunct instructor in the Psychology Department at Wilmington University.
Understanding the student-athlete from a personal standpoint adds to La’Shawn’s diverse range of experience across many demographics.
