NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - Wilmington University senior golfer Zac Moore has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Golfer of the Month after leading the Wildcats in two tournaments to continue spring play.
The senior from Brantford, Ontario, led the Wildcats at the Jefferson Spring #2 Quad with teammate Sergio Ronchel, both tying for first at the ACE Club with a 73. They led the Wildcats to a team win with a 297, defeating Goucher, Chestnut Hill and Jefferson.
Moore separated himself from Ronchel in their next tournament, however, finishing in 36th at the Battle at the Shores hosted by Barry University. Playing against six nationally ranked Top 10 teams, Moore shot a 73-76-72 to finish with a 221 (+8) to lead the Wildcats. His 73 in the opening round was a team low, as was the 72 in the third round at Normandy Shores Golf Club in Miami Beach, Florida.
The Wildcats return to action this weekend as they head to the St. Thomas Aquinas College Spring Invitational at Rum Pointe Golf Course in Berlin, Md.
