Men’s Lacrosse Remains Ranked in Both USA Lacrosse Magazine and USILA Coaches National Polls

NEWARK, Del. - - The Wilmington University men's lacrosse team remained ranked in two polls after an overtime thrilling win against Chestnut Hill in its only game of the week last Wednesday.

The Wildcats moved up to No. 15 in the latest USA Lacrosse Magazine Division II Top 20 and remain steady at No. 19 in this week's USILA Division II Coaches' Top 20.

Following their first ever win against Chestnut Hill, the Wildcats are now 9-3 overall and 5-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play. They have two games left in the regular season, starting with Senior Day against St. Thomas Aquinas on Wednesday.

Undefeated Tampa sits atop both Division II National Polls while Le Moyne is also the consensus No. 2 team. Mercy, who the Wildcats lost to by one goal, is third overall in the USA Lacrosse Magazine poll and No. 5 in the USILA poll.

The opening face-off against St. Thomas Aquinas is set for 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the WU Athletics Complex.
