Four Wildcats Earn 2022 Dynamic Division II North All-Region Honorable Mention

NEWARK, Del. - - For the first time in program history, the Wilmington University men's lacrosse team placed four student-athletes on the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) North All-Region Team, with four Wildcats earning Honorable Mention.

Leading the Wildcats this season was sophomore attackmen Giovanni Marino and Logan Stinson, sophomore midfielder Jacob Herman, and graduate student Connor Graser who all earned spots as Honorable Mention All-Region.

Giovanni Marino (Woolwich, N.J./Kingsway) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Year after leading the CACC with a program and conference record 57 goals, finishing second on the team with 67 points. His 3.80 goals per game rank sixth in all of NCAA Division II while his 4.47 points per game is 23rd overall.

Logan Stinson (Lafayette, La./St. Thomas More) led the team and tied for the CACC lead with 70 points this season, even after missing the first two games of the season. He finished fourth in the league with 45 goals and fifth in the CACC with 25 assists. He averaged 5.38 points per game, ranking fifth in all of NCAA DII while his 4.36 goals per game is ninth overall as well.

Jacob Herman (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra) set all kinds of assist records for the Wildcats this season, breaking the program and CACC mark with 41 helpers this season. He finished fourth on the team with 52 points, adding 11 goals as well. He finished the season fourth in NCAA Division II in averaging 2.73 assists per game, and 66th overall with 3.47 points per contest this season.

Connor Graser (Middletown, Del./Appoquinimink) excelled on the defensive side of the ball in his first season as a Wildcat. Named the CACC Defensive Player of the Year, Graser finished with 13 caused turnovers and 36 ground balls, while adding three goals and two assists. He helped lead a defensive unit that held opponents to just 9.59 goals per game, ranked the 16th best scoring defense in NCAA DII.

Adelphi's Joe Duchnowski was named the USILA's North Region Offensive Player of the Year while Saint Anselm's Ryan Slattery was named the North Region Defensive Player of the Year.
