Four Wildcats Earn Honorable Mention Spots on 2023 USILA DII All-Region North Team

NEWARK, Del. - - The Wilmington University men's lacrosse team garnered four All-North Region Honorable Mention selections as the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced its postseason accolades.

The four Wildcats account for four different areas of the field, as attackman Logan Stinson, midfielder TJ Caton, defenseman Jaedan Henson, and long stick midfielder Nick Bruhn all earned Honorable Mention All-Region.

Logan Stinson (Lafayette, La.) led the Wildcats and the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference with 47 goals this year, ranking 7th overall in NCAA DII in scoring 3.62 goals per game. Stinson also led the Wildcats with 64 points, finishing third in the CACC by accumulating 17 assists. He scored a season's best eight goals against Post, adding two assists to tie his season high with 10 points. He also amassed 10 points at Bridgeport, scoring six goals and four assists. It is the second time in his career he has been named USILA All-region Honorable Mention.

TJ Caton (Palmyra, Pa.), the CACC Player of the Year, was named a USILA All-North Region midfielder, scoring 36 goals to go with 17 assists for 53 points, adding a team leading 59 ground balls, and 13 caused turnovers. He finished 35th in NCAA DII in scoring 4.00 points per game while leading the team in ranking 45th in the country with 4.54 ground balls per contest. Caton scored a season high seven goals at Felician, adding an assist for a season's best eight points. He set a new career best with nine ground balls against Post.

Jaedan Henson (Annapolis, Md.) started all 13 games for the Wildcats, amassing a team's fifth best 32 ground balls and a team's third best 16 caused turnovers. The senior defender had a season's high six ground balls at Felician while collecting two caused turnovers in six games this season. He started 36 of his 37 career games as a Wildcat, totaling 77 ground balls and 36 caused turnovers in three seasons.

Nick Bruhn (Burke, Va.), the CACC Defensive Player of the Year, paced the CACC with 26 caused turnovers on the season, finishing 12th in all of NCAA DII in averaging 2.00 caused turnovers per game. He was also second on the team, and first on the defensive unit, with 53 ground balls, appearing in all 13 games while making eight starts. He also got into the offensive mix on transition, scoring a goal while adding three assists this year. He scored at No. 3 Mercy and assists on goals against Caldwell, Bridgeport, and Chestnut Hill in the CACC Tournament. Bruhn had a season high 11 ground balls against Caldwell, while setting a single game record with five caused turnovers in three separate games.

The USILA named Mercy's Brady Kearnan the North Region Offensive Player of the Year while Saint Anselm's Ryan Slattery was named the North Region Defensive Player of the Year. Mercyhurst's Shawn Doran, a face-off specialist, was named the North Region Player of the Year.
