Lorne Bickley Bio and Career Stats
NEWARK, Del. - - Wilmington University graduate and men's soccer record breaker Lorne Bickley is listed as one of the players eligible for the upcoming 2021 Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft. The draft is scheduled to take place on Thursday, January 21 on mlssoccer.com
Of the more than 175 student-athletes names on the list, Bickley is only one of seven players not from the NCAA Division I level. From the NCAA Division II level, there is one student-athlete from Charleston, one from Maryville, and three from Simon Fraser, while the final student-athlete is from NCAA Division III counterpart Connecticut College.
Bickley (Jersey, St. Helier) had a record-breaking season for the Wildcats in 2019, being named the University's first ever National Player of the Year in any sport, earning the D2CCA Ron Lenz National Player of the Year award. He broke the program's and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's goals and points for a season with 26 and 55, respectively.
Bickley graduated from Wilmington University in 3.5 years, earning CoSIDA Second Team Academic All-American status in 2019 after a 3.50 cumulative GPA in sports management.
In three seasons on the turf for the Wildcats, Bickley finishes second all-time with 48 goals and became only the second player ever to record 100 or more points in a career, capturing 106, second most in program history.
