Men’s Soccer Drops to No. 17 in Latest United Soccer Coaches DII National Poll

NEWARK, Del. - - The first loss of the season dropped the Wilmington University men's soccer team to No. 17 in this week's United Soccer Coaches Division II National Poll, as announced by the organization today.

The Wildcats also slid one spot to No. 3 in the East Region on Tuesday and are now 10-1-1 overall after their first loss of the season on Saturday.

Franklin Pierce remains at No. 1 in the National and East Region Polls, now standing at 11-0 overall. American International jumped the Wildcats in the East Region Poll to No. 2 and moved up four spots to No. 14 in the National Poll. The Wildcats are the only other team from the East Region in the National Poll, ranked No. 17.

Georgian Court is No. 4 in the East Region at 7-0-2, receiving votes in the National Poll. They are the only other Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference team in the regional poll.

The Wildcats have a midweek bye but return to action on Saturday night when they head to Felician for a CACC contest. The opening whistle is set for 8:00 p.m. in Lyndhurst, New Jersey.
