Softball Garners Eight on 2021 CACC All-Academic Team
July 19, 2021More than 100 student-athletes -- 104 in total -- on Thursday were named to the 2020-21 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Softball All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 104 honorees represent all 14 CACC member institutions that have a varsity program in the sport. -
Annie Davila and Alyssa Velasquez Named Second Team All-East Region
May 24, 2021Seniors Annie Davila and Alyssa Velasquez can add All-Region to their collegiate resumes, as both were mentioned with the announcement of the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-East Region Teams. Davila was also named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-East Region as well.

No. 7 Bloomfield Stuns No. 3 Wildcats in CACC Tournament Semifinals, 8-1

5-7 - Softball vs. Caldwell (CACC QF)
May 08, 2021The Wildcats battled back from a 6-4 deficit in the bottom of the seventh with three runs to defeat Caldwell, 7-6, and advance to the CACC Tournament Semifinals on Friday afternoon. The Wildcats trailed early, but went up 4-3 with an RBI from Alyssa Velasquez. Caldwell tied it and then hit a two-out, two-run double in the top of the seventh. But, aided by three Caldwell errors in the inning, the Wildcats fought back to take the 7-6 victory. Sara Miller, Alyssa Velasquez, and Annie Davila each had two hits in the win.

May 01, 2021The Wilmington University softball team moved into third place in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference with a sweep of Concordia, 5-3 and 6-4, on Saturday afternoon at Kathy Laoutaris Field. The Wildcats are now 18-14 overall and 18-8 in CACC play, wrapping up the regular season.

After the doubleheader, Alyssa Velasquez and Annie Davila were honored on the field as part of a Senior Day celebration.

March 28, 2021The ball was flying out of the park for the Wilmington University softball team on Saturday at Felician. Annie Davila hit three homers on the day while Sara Miller and Lauren Lopez added one each as well. Miller's gave the Wildcats the lead for good in game one while Lopez's game two homer broke the program RBI record, as she finished with six for the day and ow have 116 career RBI. The Wildcats split with the Golden Falcons.
