Remainder of 2022 Softball Championship Canceled Due to Inclement Weather

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) announced on Sunday morning the cancellation of the remainder of the 2022 CACC Softball Championship due to unplayable field conditions caused by inclement weather that continues to hinder the Lakewood area. Georgian Court University, which was the lone remaining undefeated team in the tournament, has been crowned the 2022 conference champions. The Lions will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II East Region Tournament next week at a site to be determined.

Since the halted game between Wilmington and Caldwell went five full innings, it will be counted as a completed game with the Wildcats winning, 6-3. They will head into the NCAA Selection Show on Monday morning with a 34-18 record.

An announcement on the championship's All-Tournament Team will be announced at a later date.
