June 06, 2022The 2021-22 Academic All-District Men’s Track and Field / Cross Country Teams were announced and three Wilmington University standout student-athletes were selected in a vote by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Christian Stamm Named CACC Men’s Track & Field Coach of the Year
May 26, 2022The Wilmington University men’s track and field team placed second overall at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships in just its third year of competition, leading to head coach Christian Stamm being voted the 2022 CACC Men’s Coach of the Year.

Field Student-Athletes Stamp Program Best Second Place Finish for Men; 10th Place for Women at CACC Championships
May 11, 2022The Wilmington University Track & Field teams rounded out the 2022 CACC Championships this Wednesday as the men’s team was able to score 134 points and take second place overall. The women’s team scored 15 points and finished tied for tenth place.

Men Sit in Second, Women Ninth after Track Events at 2022 CACC Championships
May 08, 2022Despite the challenges with this weekend’s weather, the Wilmington University Track & Field Team completed the running events at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships on Saturday and Sunday in at Georgian Court University. The duration of the meet will end on Wednesday, May 11 with the field events.

WilmU Track & Field Sends Teams to Compete in Famed Penn Relays
April 29, 2022The Wilmington University Track & Field Team had the privilege to compete in the oldest and largest track and field competition in the United States at the 2022 Penn Relays hosted by the University of Pennsylvania. The 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams of both the Men's and Women’s teams competed on Friday afternoon.

Matthew Hibbert Named CACC Track Athlete of the Week
April 20, 2022Matthew Hibbert turned in quite the day on Saturday, April 16 at the Bill Butler Invitational hosted by West Chester University. Hibbert’s efforts gave him the honor of being named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Track Athlete of the Week.

April 16, 2022The Wilmington University Track & Field Team took part in the Bill Butler Invitational hosted by West Chester University. The men’s side finished fourth overall and the women’s side finished ninth overall.

Matt Gonzalez Earns Second CACC Track Rookie of the Week Honors
April 13, 2022Matt Gonzalez continued to top his pace this week, earning him Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Co-Track Rookie of the Week. The Wilmington University track and field team competed in two events last week on back-to-back days. On Friday the Wildcats were in Philadelphia competing in the Temple Invitational while they participated in the Golden Ram Invitational hosted by West Chester University on Saturday.

Men Claim Top Prize; Women Fourth at the Golden Ram Invitational
April 09, 2022The Wilmington University Track & Field Team headed back to Pennsylvania to partake in the Golden Ram Invitational hosted by West Chester University. The men took home their second invitational win by scoring 166 total points. The women took fourth place with a total of 37 points.

The sprinters, jumpers, hurdlers, and throwers competed at the Townson Invitational in Towson, Maryland. The distance grew competed at the Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener University in Chester, PA.

Men’s Track Wins Lloyd Sigler Spring Meet in 2022 Debut; Women Seventh
March 05, 2022The Wilmington University Track & Field Team kicked off their 2022 season campaign at the Llyod Sigler Spring hosted by Salisbury University. The women’s Track & Field team scored a total of 22 points. Sophomore Layla Hunt started the day with a 4.71-meter-long jump, which was good for 5th place, two points, and with the jump, Hunt has qualified for the CACC Championships in May. Freshman Jalah Turner took 9th place in the long jump with a distance of 4.46 meters which is .05 meters away from qualification standards for the conference championship meet.

2022 Wilmington Track & Field Schedule Announced
January 28, 2022The 2022 Wilmington University track & field schedule has been announced and the Wildcats will begin their season Saturday, March 5 at Salisbury University.
