Bowling Ranks 23rd; Four Wildcats Honored as NTCA Announces All-Academic Team Awards

NEWARK, Del. - - The Wilmington University bowling team was a part of a record 59 programs that earned the National Tenpin Coaches Association All-Academic Team Award for the 2020-21 academic school year.

As a whole, the Wildcats ranked 23rd overall in team GPA, amassing a 3.540 cumulative team GPA. Morgan State led the nation with a 3.840 team GPA. The Wildcats are one of four institutions representing the East Coast Conference inside the Top 25. Adelphi ranks second overall with a 3.803 team GPA followed by Molloy's 3.610 GPA (17th), and Bloomfield's 3.540 (24th).

In addition to the team award, the NTCA recognized four Wildcats to the individual NTCA All-Academic Team, gathering a 3.4 cumulative GPA or high for the academic school year. This year, 385 honorees, representing NCAA bowling programs at 63 schools, were honored.

The Wildcats are represented by senior Malia Stout (behavioral science), junior Leah Henry (business administration), and sophomores KC Miller (communications), and CC Riojas (criminal justice).
